The Extended Granny Square

A little while ago, I shared this free pattern and YouTube tutorial for an extended Granny Square, which I completely loved.

So, I wanted to update you with a couple of things that I have made from this twist on the granny square.

The first one is this scarf.

When I was making the tutorial for this pattern, I had an image in my head of how beautiful it would look using a variegated yarn. So, I did it and I hope you’ll agree that it doesn’t disappoint – the simplicity of the stitch lets the colours of the yarn shine.

The second item is currently in progress and, again is something that came into my mind when I did the original tutorial and that is a cardigan.

Well, it started as a cardigan, but I have a feeling it might end up as a jumper.

But I’m not going to show it to you – yet.

You’ll just have to wait and see!

But I can categorically say that this would be an ideal pattern if you are new to crochet and learning the basics. This pattern contains them all and is also sheer mindfulness in its making.

And speaking of learning how to crochet, I’ve got some exciting news for you so keep an eye on my social media.
