Correcting My Mistake

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post focusing on one of the many facets of crochet and working with yarns, that make it so perfect a fit with sustainability. And that is the fact that anything crocheted or knitted item can be undone and either altered or remade into something different.

I had made a top for myself but wasn’t fully happy with the final outcome and after several months of hiding it in a draw and not thinking about it, I decided to make some alterations.

I finished it last week and wore it for the first time over the weekend and I love it! The changes aren’t massive. Some of you may look at it and say “Changes? What changes?” But, trust me, they’re there and they have greatly altered the drape and fit of it.

I’m over the moon with the finished item but the main takeaway from this is in the confidence I have grown by making these amendments and future confidence I will have to change, amend or remake other items.
